I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
